Dr. Mancuso graduated from the University of Houston where he was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity and he worked as a clinical instructor at the university to help train future optometrists. The doctor proudly served as an optometrist in the US Army and continued on as a Major in the US Army Reserve, retiring after 20 years of service. Dr. Mancuso served as the optometrist at New Lisbon Developmental Center for the state of New Jersey; and participated in the VSP Sight for Students program, providing exams and corrective eyewear to under-privileged youth.
In addition to his work as an optometrist, Dr. Mancuso ran clinical trials as an investigator for soft contact lenses with the FDA/Wesley Jessen Corp. He is a former president of the Gibbsboro/Voorhees Lions' Club; an active member of American Legion Post #294; and a member of the American Optometric Association for over 20 years. Dr. Mancuso is also listed in the Top Optometrists of the Year for 2012 by Consumers Research Council of America. He is board certified in therapeutics, post-operative care, low vision training, contact lens fitting and Lasik surgery consultation.
The doctor has been treating patients in the local and surrounding areas for over 30 years. His practice, Avanti Eyes Vision Center, opened in 1973 and has since remained a fixture in the community of Browns Mills. The office is recognized for providing quality vision care services including fashion frames, modern vision technology and an in-house optical lab for all your eyewear needs.
Dr. Mancuso lives in South Jersey; he is an avid golfer, enjoys traveling, skiing, singing karaoke, playing piano, reading and spending time with family and friends.
